Primary objectiveTo manage all engineeringactivities associated with a Mega Projects PMC contract as part ofan integrated Client/Company team.
Specificaccountabilities

• Responsible for the engineeringadministrative function, directing and consulting several groupsengaged in interrelated engineering responsibilities
• Plan and manage the execution of the multi-disciplineFEED/Conceptual Design Studies & EPC engineering in bothlocal and affiliated international offices
• Preparationand administration of design budgets, estimates, forecasts andschedules.
• Recruitment and Development of a technicallycompetent, cohesive and functional engineering team
• Beresponsible for the timeliness and technical correctness of allworks performed by the Engineering Team
• TechnicalIntegrity - take responsibility for the technical integrity of theteam, addressing working methods, tools, quality assurance, peerreviews, communication with team members on otherprojects.
• Manage value improvement processes
• Manage third party consultants/specialists
• Ensure alldesign engineering activities meet or exceed engineering standardswith regard to quality, cost, safety and performance
• Quality Assurance Responsible for working within the provisions andguidelines of the Quality Assurance system including utilizing thecorporate Project Management systems
• Safety Responsiblefor personal safety and adherence to safe working practices for theOil & Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&Sprocedures.

Essential skills/experience Bachelor of Engineering(Mech. or Chem.) from an accredited college or university. MME(Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineeringaccreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holdingthis accreditation must be willing to achieve this within theprobationary period. Must have a proven track record of managingmultiple projects in Design & Engineering in the oil andgas industry Industry-Specific Experience

• Candidateshould have extensive experience in upstream/downstream hydrocarbonprojects.
• Specific experience in working / leading theengineering team for sustainability driven projects
• Experience in projects related to carbon capture / carbonsequestration will be an advantage Matching indicators Strongtechnical skills in the onshore oil and gas industry Track recordof managing multi projects and multi-discipline design teams Highlevel of understanding of management of interfaces acrossmulti-functional Company and Client groups Well-developed manmanagement and client management skills.
