AI R&D Engineer


Job Status:
One Year Contract Position (renewable based on mutual interest)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities of the AI R&D Engineer include but not limited to:

• Support R&D activities for realizing customer-centric IoT and AI Systems
• Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis
• Assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Building AI models to address business problems and ensure their effectiveness in the field
• Designing and implementing deeplearning pipelines and machinelearning algorithms
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
• Presenting information using data visualization techniques
• Preparing demonstrations of endtoend IoT systems showing their features and benefits
• Contributing to conceiving and delivering IoT platforms and solutions to clients
• Collaborating with business, engineering and product development teams

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant should hold a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, etc.

He/she should have the following skills:

• BSc/MSc with 24 years of relevant experience
• Very good knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their realworld advantages/drawbacks
• Strong Knowledge of neutral networksbased architectures: CNN, RNN, etc.
• Knowledge of Deep learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.
• Solid handson experience in development, debugging, and troubleshooting software and systems
• Very good knowledge and experience in Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets and build data models
• Familiarity with Java, C, or C++ is an asset
• Knowledge of geospatial analytics is beneficial
• Prior industrial experience especially in IoT/AI systems is an asset
• Ability to work independently
• Strong problemsolving skills with an emphasis on product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
