FIELD OPERATIONS (IDD EL-SHARGI)


Primary purpose of job
Responsible and accountable for safe maintenance of offshore rotating equipments with facility having variety of

equipments absorbing over 100MW of shaft power. Rotating equipment engineer is responsible to develop, implement and

improve the rotating equipment maintenance strategies and shall continuously monitor the performance of the rotating

equipment.


Experience & Skills

Experience:
minimum 8 years or higher of offshore oil and gas on rotating equipment maintenance.

  • Direct handson participation to execute all daytoday mechanical maintenance activities on gas turbines (such as Solar
Turbines, GE MS5002C, Siemens TB5000/SGT700, SGT100), routine and non-routine, breakdown and shutdown providing
- support in the control and scheduling aspects of the same.

  • Good knowledge of turbine control systems, general understanding of navigating control logic and PLC.
  • Must be capable of independently handling turbine core changes, borescope inspections and other routine activities.
  • Good understanding of turbine ancillary equipment like lube oil system, starter system, filters, valves etc.
  • Must have good knowledge of equipment alignment. General knowledge on maintenance of rotating equipment,
mechanical seal system, bearings and assembly is a must.

Education
Bachelor of Science in a relevant Engineering e.g. in Rotating / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation is a minimum. Must

have detailed understanding of design, operation and maintenance of offshore oil and gas rotating equipments.
