We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to be part of our Lead Analyst Operational Performance as ODS Business Reporting & Analysis in the head office in Doha.

About the Role


As a Lead Ops Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for undertaking advanced performance analysis for the Flight Operations divisions.

This activity involves using a range of analytical techniques such as statistical analysis, data modelling, machine leaning, optimization, prototyping decision support tools, and providing meaningful data insights and relevant recommendations to the senior management and business users.


Some responsibilities include:

Key responsibilities are:

  • Develop and maintain strong business acumen within the Flight Operations analytical scope, especially in the areas of ontime performance, flight schedule integrity, crew rostering, impact on operational costs, etc.
  • Develop and maintain strong understanding of the Flight Operations work processes in order to correctly gauge causeandconsequence relationships in the data, and be able to provide accurate insights.
  • Develop and lead implementation of analytical, machine leaning models and techniques to deliver deeper insights, make predictions and generate recommendations.
  • Design and implement optimization models.
  • Propose and develop datadriven support prototypes based on machine learning and Optimization for further evaluation by the business users.

Qualifications:

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering or similar

Preferred:
Master.

  • Minimum 5+ years of jobrelated experience
  • Experience in an Advanced Analytics, Data Science and Operations Research.
  • Experience in project management.

  • Preferred: Experience of working within Flight Operations at an airline.
Job Specific Skills

Essential

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proven professional spoken and written communication capabilities.
  • Excellent analytic, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and data visualization.
  • Use programming skills (e.g. SQL, SAS, Python, R)
  • Experience in Optimization software tools such as Cplex, Gurobi, SAS/OR, Google OR-Tools
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Outlook) skills
  • Experience with BI tool such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau
  • Grasp of commercial impacts and financial/budgetary work.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills and effective in a multicultural setting.
Preferred

  • Understanding of Flight Operations functions and metrics.
