This position is concerned with maintainingthe highest level of attentive service to all guests and constantlyprojecting warmth and friendliness. Maintaining dining reservationusing dining reservation system and updating patrons'preferences &history.

Key Deliverables AndResponsibilities

• Ensure correct grooming standards arefollowed at all times
• Exceed guest satisfactionby knowing preferences and updateprofiles
• Attending to phone queries orreservations.
• Attending to walkins.
• Following up restaurants financial, LQA,TrustYou and Forbes targets on a dailybasis
• Anticipate and service of guests'requirements at all times
• Following up dailyfinancial targets of area/division
• Use openingand closing checklist to ensure smooth opening and closing of thevenue
• Communicating reservations needs andspecial requests to the Managers
• Coordinatingreservation with Dining Reservation Department & otherHostesses.
• Managing the logbook
• Handling seating cards to enable guestrecognition.
• Maintaining guesthistory.
• Assisting guests to theirtables.
• Seating ofguests.
• Upkeep of the menus in an impeccablemanner ensuring there is no spelling nor grammatical mistakes andfree of marks
• To coordinate and assist inservice according to service standards.
• Toensure a very high standard of service is held and maintain at alltimes.
• To communicate with Head Hostess,Supervisors, Restaurant Assistant Manager and Restaurant GeneralManager of all issues concerning the outlet.
• Tobe aware of Hotel standards &policies.
• To feel empowered and accountablewithin the work place
• Keep manager on dutyupdated of any guest feedback so they can update the GlitchReport
• Maintains the HACCP & FIFOstandards as required by the regional governingbody
• Follow Hotel Evacuation Policy in case ofan Emergency
• Attend all necessary briefings andtraining sessions as instructed by theManager
• Handle financial procedures accordingto guidelines set by the financedepartment
• Identify potential problems andanticipate guest needs, ask for assistance before service breakdownoccurs
• Perform any duties and special projectsas requested by management whether in your own department or anyother department in the hotel
• All issues andnegative guest feedbacks needs to be properly reported on glitchsystem
• Follow care program at all times, andreport issues through the system tomaintenance
• To carry out any other reasonableduties and responsibilities asassigned.
