    • Schedules the work of aHousekeeping crew and insures that assigned duties are completed onschedule and meet quality standards for theunit.
    • Schedules overtime and on-call hours forHousekeeping staff. Coordinates and participates in the hiringprocess for new Custodians; makes employment recommendations to thedepartment manager.
    • Supervises preparations,set-ups and take-downs for special events. Coordinates with otherdepartments, as needed. Maintains inventory and attendancerecords.
    • Monitors expenditures for supplies,equipment and personnel for compliance with budgetarylimits.
    • Researches institutional housekeeping'best practices." Recommends changes in practices,methods and products. Purchases and issues supplies; purchasesequipment with department manager approval; recommendsvendors.
    • Provides for service and repair ofHousekeeping equipment. Identifies training needs for Housekeepingstaff.
    • Trains Housekeeping staff and insuresthat performance standards are met.
    • Providesfeedback to Housekeeping staff on improvementneeded.
