At Grafana Labs, ourdepartment builds products to make it easy to detect, respond andlearn from incidents with minimal toil. Our products are built ontop of Grafana's open-source observability platform,integrating alerting, slos, on-call, and incident management. Weare looking for an Engineering Manager to help us grow and developour Incident Response Management platform. This platform includesboth OnCall response and Incident resolution collaborationsolutions. Our managers take an active role in creating a healthyand productive environment for our engineers. They are expected toguide cross-team collaboration, tune team practices, facilitatecommunication, resolve blockers, and coach each team member intheir development. As we grow, we're aiming to improveour performance, increase our reliability, and delight our usersevery step of the way.


Requirements:

• The core focus ofthe role is on people management, but you should have enoughtechnical skills/understanding of our stack to manage a highlytechnical team/product.
• You will act as an executionleader and work with your peers and Grafana Product & UXteams to ensure the roadmap is defined and up-to-date
• You have a strong technical background and are capable of engagingin technical conversations and challenging teams to arrive atstrong technical decisions themselves
• You will becomfortable working with engineering teams who have a strong senseof autonomy in their decision-making, be it technical orproduct-focussed
• While you're great withpeople and adept at managing relationships, you still keepup-to-date with technical trends and shifts to understand betterthe challenges ahead
• Ideally, you will have a ComputerScience degree or equivalent experience and have worked as asoftware engineer before moving into management
• Familiarity with public Cloud and SRE/DevOps concepts &struggles would be a strong advantage
