• Provides full rangeof commercial and corporate legal services, in the area of operatedactivities to meet the needs of the Company and protect its legaland commercial interests, including detailed advice and guidance tocolleagues on specific matters based on a full understanding of thetopic and detailed options and consequences to enable the client totake the optimum legal and commercial decision.
• Draftsand negotiates a wide variety of international legal agreements andcontracts to comply with applicable laws, meets the needs ofclients and protects the Group's legal and commercialinterests.
• Co-ordinates and prioritizes a large andvaried workload, managing large amounts of documentation andsecuring inputs from multiple sources of varying disciplines toensure that projects are satisfactorily completed on time andwithin applicable budgets.
• The Legal Counsel focuses alltalent and energy on the Company to make sure that all itsactivities adhere to law and the relevant agreements by givinglegal advice and monitoring all
• applicable legalaspects.
• Knowledge and observance of Company'sHSE policy, rules and procedures.
• Participation to HSEactivities and global improvement.
• Follows up/analysisof HSE legal framework in Qatar.
• Participation incompany Emergency Management Team activities (includingparticipation in exercises and taking turn of the Legal duty phoneon rota)

• Must hold a currentpracticing certificate (preferable in a Commonwealth Jurisdiction)-the company are particularly interested in UK qualified lawyers

• Significant experience of providinglegal support to a contracts & procurement / sourcingdivision: covering preparation of call for tender, supplier duediligence, negotiation, contract drafting / preparation and review,drafting and reviewing contractual correspondence (to be sent andreceived by company).
• Experience supporting activitiesrelated to engineering & construction, logistics, drilling& wells services, reservoirs & geoscience,marine/vessels, field operations, technical services/manpower, ITand compliance is desirable.
• Experience of reviewingsupplier insurances, drafting and improving standard templatecontracts, letters, amendments, guarantees etc. isdesirable.
