Principal Consultant role within the WoodAsset Life Optimisation (ALO) group supporting the IM (IntegrityManagement) and VDN (Vibration, Dynamics, and Noise) SpecialistEngineering teams.

• Definition and approval of technicalscopes
• Providing discipline expertise to the businessincluding Technical Authority responsibility
• Contributing to business growth
• Providing highlytechnical expertise Expected to provide highly specialisedexpertise to the organisation and be recognized as a technicalauthority in one of the below fields:
• IntegrityManagement of process plant (i.e. pipeline integrity, fracturemechanics, RBI, corrosion management)
• Vibration,Dynamics, and Noise (i.e. vibration of process piping, staticequipment, structures, machinery) Utilising expert technicalknowledge in the execution of engineering assignments to identifyinnovative solutions to complex problems and complete project taskswith little to no guidance and direction. Provides consultativedirection and serve as the Discipline Technical Authority onseveral complex projects simultaneously. Conceive, develop, andevaluate plans and criteria for solving a variety of unique andcomplex engineering problems. Assesses feasibility and soundness ofproposed engineering solutions. Be a senior staff specialist who isrecognised as an expert in theories and principles of theprofessional field, as demonstrated by significant accomplishmentsand contributions Drives excellence in the execution and delivery.
• Responsible for ensuring ALO services are delivered tothe highest technical standards.
• Continuous promotion ofand adherence to the discipline specific procedures and providingfeedback for continuous improvement.
• Management of keystakeholders in the execution and delivery of engineering projects.
• Support the development and delivery of the technicalcompetence framework. Providing discipline expertise.
• Exercises considerable credibility, foresight, and judgement inconceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
• Usesdeep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functionalleaders.
• Works with project groups as an experttechnical advisor on designs, processes, and engineering methods
• Solves problems requiring application of research datain own and allied professional disciplines; exercises maturebusiness judgment in devising practical, economical solutions.
• Establishes the need for investigation and research andparticipates in the development of longrange plans and projectgoals.
• Represent discipline on contract / project /service line.
• Perform the role of Technical Authoritywhen appointed to do so.
• Proactively supports theintroduction of innovation, new ideas and practices to improveoverall performance Contributing to business growth
• Contributes to long-range strategic plans for the group.
• Contributes to business development through regular engagement,relationship building and delivery to clients, as well asidentifying and pursuing opportunities to expand scope of work forWood.
