BASIC FUNCTION
Providing of all financial information to Management by research and analysis of Company related accounting data and preparing reports. Documents all financial transactions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, variance reports, cash position and other reports required by management
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents, recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options and financial trends.
• Maintains accounting controls by recommending policies & procedures on how to secures financial information and maintain the client financial confidentiality
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls, accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts, defining accounting policies and procedures and Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Answers non accounting related questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations for Dhareeba transactions handling, Qatar Statistics requirement and as required by public relation officer (PRO)
• Supervise financial data and reports for the company's automated financial system and guide the accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Achieves objectives by contributing financial information and recommendations, preparing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements, implementing change.
• Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. By handling the tender project cost and project evaluation considering the capital budgeting
• Handle the bank credit facility renewal and bank transactions
• Deep understanding of In Country Value (ICV process) for the yearly renewal process
• Implement programs related to achievement of QHSE policies and company objectives / KPI ́s.
• Be aware of HSE hazards and risks associated with your operations process and implement control measures associated with the same.
• Awareness of emergency situations associated with your operations process, related emergency plans and take part in emergency drills.

COMPETENCE DATA

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accountancy or related field with CPA and CMA certification


Experience

Minimum 6 years' experience, preferably in Shipping, Logistics industry, Marine Services and with accounting software knowledge such as SAP, Oracle, Sage or QB.

Skills and Training

AUTHORIZATION (sign papers, limitations, etc.)

Audits, reports, etc.

Limited to internal authorization only


Ability to commute/relocate:

• Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
