• Consistently observes and enforces all USAF and host nationexplosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during allexplosives and non-explosives operations in assigned sites andtemporary duty locations.
• In the event of an emergency,takes necessary control and timely response actions.
• Conducts all munitions work according to established qualityprocesses, identifying potential problems and recommendingsolutions.
• Performs munitions storage actions accordingto the stringent explosives standards.
• Prepares andconfigures munitions shipments for air, sea and surfacetransportation.
• Uploads/downloads trucks with incomingand outgoing munitions shipments.
• Assists in inspectingmunitions in accordance with 11A-1-10 and applicable technicalorders.
• Assists in inspecting munitions brass, residueand containers in accordance with 11A-1-60.
• Inspects,operates and performs preventative maintenance on MMHE such astractors, trailers, container handles, forklifts and all otherequipment as directed by Munitions Supervision.
• Inspectsand operates metal strapping equipment, stencil machines, heatsealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools.
• Cleans vehicles, equipment and facilities.
• Prepares and delivers general and explosives safety briefingspertaining to all MMHE.
• Works necessary hours to includestand-by duties to support mission requirements during peacetimeand combat contingencies.
• Escort and inspectserviceability of Sub-Contractor Vehicles and Equipment in supportof Munitions Movements.
• Performs other duties asassigned.
• Works in maintenance shop or warehouseenvironment and may be required to work outdoors for extendedperiods. Minimum Requirements
• Must have basic knowledgeof or be able to learn the USAF Supply and Tech Order systems.
• Must have basic knowledge in the use of personalcomputers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office toinclude as a minimum Excel and Word programs.
• Mustpossess extensive knowledge of properly securing flatbed trailerloads and material handling equipment operations.
• Mustpossess a valid home country driver's license and abilityto obtain host nation driver's license to include Tractor,Trailer, Forklift and Container Handlers of all types.
• Must possess a current USDOT Class A commercial driver'slicense.
• CDL endorsements may be required as Company,USAF and Host Nation requirements change.
• High Schooldiploma or equivalent required.
• Must have four yearsexperience in Heavy Equipment Operations.
• Must possess acurrent OSHA Forklift Certification.
• Must not have beenconvicted of a Domestic Violence charge (Lautenberg Amendmentcompliance).
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain aUS Secret Security Clearance.
• Will be required to wearproper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribedprocedures and as required for task being performed.
• Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable oflifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensivework handling/lifting equipment.
• Ability to traveldomestically and internationally.
• Must have normal colorperception and depth of vision.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
