    job Purpose

    • Provide professional advice and guidance on division specific financial and accounting areas e.g., month-end financial closing, cost allocation, Joint Venture master data set up, Cost Flow designs/ set-up, maintenance of Chart of Accounts, whilst demonstrating a sound understanding of the underlying principles, concepts, and standards. Collect, analyse, and present financial data, both internally and externally. Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I
    • Role is responsible for the effective implementation/ review/ guidance as per approved policies and procedures tasks related to: Month-end Financial Closing; Cost allocation process; Master data maintenance, Joint Venture system set up in SAP and any System Design changes.
    • Major challenges of the role are (1) provide professional advice and guidance in SAP system set up for Joint Venture and Cost Flow designs; (2) review and implementation of month-end financial closing and cost allocation process; (3) maintenance of chart of accounts, cost objects and various reporting hierarchies use across Finance and other Groups. Key Job Accountabilities - I
    • Perform and review as per approved procedures of month- end financial closing activities, ensuring that closing procedures are efficient and reliable, and in compliance with Operations & Maintenance, Joint Venture, and Service Agreements.
    • Perform financial master data creation and maintenance for QG OPCO, all Joint Venture Companies, and Common Facilities (e.g., vendor, customer, cost objects, GL accounts).
    • Perform Accounts Reconciliation process for all Qatargas Companies, ensuring the propriety of financial reports through a well-controlled Accounts Reconciliation process.
    • Interface with other Finance divisions to obtain/provide financial information and guidance, interpret, and utilize financial documents (e.g., statistical key figures, impact of allocation).
    • Prepare and review GL routine reports (e.g., month-end closing KPI, vendor monitoring report, accounts reconciliation management report). Key Job Accountabilities - II
    • Review and update policies and procedures for the different GL processes. Ensure relevant Company regulations and controls are observed, system/ work integrity is maintained.
    • Identify and provide recommendations for possible enhancement or improvement and provide input for the development of financial systems and procedures.
    • Participate in routine and non-routine specific projects within set terms of reference and defined processes.
    • Assist supervisor in the preparation of reports. Ensure integrity of routine and non-routine data into standard output, support analysis, process financial transactions, and perform reconciliations.
    • Provide advice and guidance to graduates to assist them in delivering the required outputs and promoting their development. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance, Economic or Commercial discipline; or
    • Bachelor's degree in any discipline and an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, CIMA, CMA, CPA). Knowledge and/or Experience - I
    • 5 years' experience in a finance function in the Oil & Gas Industry.
    • Solid knowledge of SAP/ accounting systems
