The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the procurement function within the organization.

This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to meet the organization's needs.

The Senior Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing procurement processes, reducing costs, and enhancing supply chain efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Procurement:
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to maximize efficiency.


Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability of goods and services.


Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of procurement professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success and performance.


Cost Control:
Monitor and control procurement costs, working to reduce expenses while maintaining or improving quality. Implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.


Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in procurement activities. Maintain a strong understanding of legal and ethical considerations.


Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including supplier dependencies and disruptions. Develop contingency plans to address supply chain challenges.


Supplier Diversity:
Promote supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives in the procurement process, where applicable and relevant.


Reporting and Analytics:
Develop and maintain procurement performance metrics and analytics. Prepare reports for senior management to assess the effectiveness of procurement strategies.


Budget Management:
Manage the procurement budget and allocate resources effectively to support procurement objectives.


Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of procurement activities with organizational goals.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Several years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Indepth knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
