Ensure Strategic Objective 6E1:
Key Elements to be implemented maintained and achieved


  • Conduct regular monthly safety inspection at facilities areas and offices and renders appropriate safety reports and corrective safety recommendations.
  • Conduct regular monthly Fire Alarm Test at facilities areas and offices and renders appropriate safety observations and corrective recommendations.
  • Assists other members of Safety Team during regular Emergency Fire Evacuation Drills to enhance Emergency Procedure Awareness among associates and report salient safety observations to improve existing procedures.
  • Maintains liaison with focal points and ensures mutual safety concerns are resolved effectively and efficiently.
  • Undertakes Risk Assessment and risk reduction measures and endeavors to spot unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to eradicate/reduce potential hazards and risks.
  • Conducts tool box meetings and safety observation and conversation at the worksite with Area associates and contractors to enhance safety awareness.
  • Immediately responds to fire alarms at facilities and conducts a thorough Safety Investigation to identify and correct the root cause of the incident.
  • Prepares and submits routine daily, weekly activity and monthly safety reports to the Safety Supervisor.
  • Maintains a comprehensive documentation and filing system for all safety reports for future reference and safety systems improvement.
  • Develop report writing skills on safety inspection, fire alarm test, emergency fire evacuation drill, rising of work request, risk assessment, Job Safety Analysis, safety audit and other routine reports.
  • To provide support in all related special events and activities as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Maintains knowledge of current best practice in safety, and accident/injury prevention
  • Complete In-house courses to enhance their technical, safety, supervisory, and man-management skills.
  • Review Permit To Work (PTW) in line with the current procedure
  • Review Safety Risk Assessments for events
  • Participate in local point training programming to enhance internal synergies.
Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor


Experience:


  • Health and
Safety Officer: 3 years (preferred)
