About the role:


Allocate equipment and build up customer airlines baggage requirements in accordance with instructions from Load Control, QAS SOP and published customer airline procedures.

Efficiently deliver customer airlines baggage for departure flights adhering to Safety, Security and On time as per agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).


Operational

  • Communicate effectively about load plan and required number of ULD for Other Airline (OAL) flights with Load Control/CLC and update if any shortfall or excess units or changes are in plan.
  • Ensure QAS/QR and OAL SOPs are followed for baggage handling for both arrival and departure activities to achieve KPIs and avoid delays and mishandlings.
  • Report any discrepancy to supervisor immediately for proper escalation and action to avoid its reoccurrence in future.
  • Complete the baggage checklist with all relevant details for every departure flight to ensure that all required SOPs of handling departure flights are complete which will in turn help to avoid any possible discrepancies or errors.
  • Coordinate with Baggage Control Room Supervisor to clear EBS bags on time, MUF opening times and any changes in belt allocation or flight open timings.
  • Allocate appropriate, serviceable equipment and manpower to safely and efficiently build up Unit Load Device (ULD) and trolleys.
  • Make sure special baggage is loaded as per customer airline requirement.
  • Responsible for overall transfer Infeed to make sure inbound baggage are offloaded according to the precision time schedule.
  • Ensure a safe and secure build up and transfer of the specified baggage from the various baggage facilities to the aircraft side whereby the service levels are maintained as per the SLA / SOP.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
  • Liaise with Dispatcher / Loading team leaders to ensure all SOP are complied with.

Qualifications:


About You

  • High School Qualification (e.g. O level, Year 10, min compulsory education)
  • Experienced minimum 4 years of jobrelated experience
  • Vocational/Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on role)
  • Experienced minimum 3 years of jobrelated experience


  • Preferred

  • Minimum 05 years of experience in the airline industry of which 02 years should be in Baggage
  • Operations as a Lead Agent or Junior Team Leader
  • Advanced course in Baggage Handling and advanced Supervisory skills course
  • Driving license is advantageous.


  • Essential

  • Able to effectively and politely communicate with staff and clients.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • Acceptable airline Ramp Handling/Load Processing training.
  • Ability to lead, direct, and motivate all reporting staff.
