The mission of theBusiness Operations team is to assess how wellPinterest's strategy is delivering enterprise performanceand influence exec-level decisions to evolve strategy andoperations accordingly.

As the Director of Business Operations,Core, you will lead a data-driven team that drives criticalbusiness insights for our Exec Team while partnering with Product,Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, and others across PinnerGrowth and Engagement, Shopping, and Content initiatives to improvehow we execute.

With a combination of exceptional analyticalskills, insatiable curiosity, and strong leadership skills,you'll help us better understand the Pinner experienceand drive changes that shape the future of Pinterest.

• Own the rhythm for our"core" suite of investments across PinnerGrowth and Engagement, Content, and Shopping. Partner with 2 VPs ofProduct to develop a deep understanding of how their productstrategies contribute to Pinterest's overall businesssuccess.
• Define KPIs for reporting, developforward-looking forecasts and scenarios, and assess performanceagainst goals to recommend strategy and operational improvements todrive business results.
• Be the primary point person withour leadership team on understanding metrics movements and trendsin our consumer product, and provide data-driven insights onnascent business questions.
• Break down and solveambiguous business problems and recommend solutions that inspireaction from executives.
• Lead and mentor a highperforming team of data analysts to become thought partners forcross functional stakeholders

• 10+ years of experience, 2+ years of directly relatedexperience as part of 5+ years of technology, finance, economics,or consulting experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate full stack while also developing others. You canself-sufficiently conduct research, analyze data to ask and answeryour own questions, visualize data in high signal-to-noise waysthat make insights clear and compelling to executives, and createproject structure and execution plans to drive swift action fromthose insights, while also mentoring growing more junior members ofthe team to eventually be able to do the same.
• Structured systems thinker who also loves the details. Whenengaging with a problem, you balance a focus on quick wins andactionability with ways to help Pinterest efficiently solve thatproblem at scale through systems and repeatable processes, and arecomfortable diving into the operational details with theanalytical, data, product, and engineering teams that you will beclosely partnered with to make it happen.
• Strongcommunication and influence skills. You are comfortable partneringwith a diverse set of cross-functional teams and synthesizingcomplex information for clear decision making and action byexecutives.
