Job Purpose Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible to manage all the operating assets of COMPANY.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will ensure proper flow of information between the operating assets and his office, manage information flow to and from COMPANY HQ and ensure that the operation of the assets under his/her management follow the business objectives of COMPANY and the COMPANY's overall Business Strategy.

The Incumbent will be responsible to oversee and manage all the activities of the managed assets with a main focus on ensuring effective asset management at the asset level resulting in techno-economic favorable results for COMPANY.

The overall objective is to deliver predictable, sustained excellence in operations, environmental health and safety (EH&S) performance that translates into strong financial results.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:

A


Business Acumen:


  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind COMPANY's financial & nonfinancial performance.
  • Display a good understanding of the global macroeconomic factors influencing the energy sector and power generation industry in the relevant geographies in which COMPANY operates and of those that are in company's geographic focus.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of economic, political, social, competitive and regulatory factors influencing business operation and business planning process. Make sure that such factors are reflected in financial & nonfinancial KPIs.
  • Understand competitor strategy, product/service offerings and key differentiators.
  • Utilize industry information to improve business performance.
  • Stay abreast of technological change impacting the industry, especially in terms of operational improvement of asset performance.
  • Stay abreast of competitive practices and environment, seek ways to create new areas of competitive advantage for the business.
  • Ability to analyze and produce standard reports, financial statements, plant data summaries and KPIs related to assets under management.

D. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):


  • Assessing the current status of the generation facilities/assets
  • Ensure sustained excellence in operations, environmental health and safety (EH&S) performance or all assets
  • Devising and implementing solutions that align with COMPANY business goals
  • Presenting options and implementing solutions that maximize potential rewards
  • Maintaining bestinclass availability through proactive and predictive maintenance procedures
  • Ensure proper governance and compliance with all laws, regulations, contract, agreements related to the assets
  • Develop suitable KPIs for such assets and follow up for achievement of the KPIs
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for monitoring the operating assets and assets under construction in order to compile and present reports to the management.
  • Build strong working relationships with research firms, including external consultants and auditors and any other key sources for relevant information.
  • Explore options and methodologies with the major equipment suppliers to optimize the assets' availability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with other stake holders/shareholders in the assets as required
  • Coordinate with the Business Development and M&A teams to assist and provide inputs as needed to facilitate the teams to prepare the bids.
  • Assist in the development and launch of new project opportunities with the BD team, define potential project concepts in the concerned industry, assess competitive pressures.
  • Coordinate with the M&A team to prepare a financial studies and feasibility assessment based on any bids/valuations of opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the CFO and his team for a cross functional requirements
  • Ensure that the CEO is updated with the latest strategic plans as well as the technical analysis and financial impact/outcome of all assets as it relates to the COMPANY 's strategic goals and objectives.
