As an Income Auditor you are responsible to review and verify all financial reports in order to ensure a proper authorization in compliance with the applicable policies and procedures, whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

  • To audit charges to City Ledger and credit card companies before forwarding them to the Accountants Receivable section. All employee City Ledger accounts are closed at month end.
  • To audit daily Rooms, Food and Beverage revenue summaries and their supporting transaction reports of the Night Audit Process.
  • To audit revenues from telephone, telex and facsimile, unless these are automatically linked to the computer for billing.
  • Ensure that all of the day's Banquet revenue has been recorded.
  • To audit the daily General Cashier's Report against recorded cash movements.
  • Verify that the computerized Daily Report reflects completely all of the day's transactions. Verify supports for complimentary and house use rooms and for room charged at rates varying from the rack potential.
  • Review all house use and entertainment checks for propriety and ensure that they are signed and authorized.
  • To audit all Food and Beverage outlet checks on the 'List of Negative Check Lines' for explanation and approval by Outlet Managers (or delegated personnel) and by the Chef in instance of canceled captain's/automatic kitchen orders.
  • Check the sequential use of Food and Beverage checks, foreign exchange vouchers, official receipts and to investigate any missing or irregular forms.
  • Review guest ledger balances daily and research questionable movements.
  • To carry out surprise checks of rooms, health club attendances and laundry (if hotel provides an outside service). To carry out surprise cash counts of cashier's floats & surprise foreign currency counts.
  • To monitor the organized execution of the night audit programme by Front Office personnel.
  • To maintain organized files of all pertinent audit records. To provide courteous and professional service at all times and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues.
  • To be fully aware of the hotel's policies and procedures and to adhere to them, having a complete understanding of the hotel's policy relating to fire, safety and health. Understanding of the hotel's employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contained therein.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:


  • OPERA System: 1 year (preferred)
  • Income Auditor within hospitality industry: 1 year (preferred)
