- Understand the financial processes(planning, budgeting, forecasting, andreporting).
- Monitor, analyze, and reviewbudgets, costs, resources, and expenditure. Use cost-benefitthinking to set priorities.
- Implementfinancial planning and set priorities and activities in a logicalorder, develop schedules and timetables, and organize resourcesincluding time and surrounding circumstances to complete the workefficiently, and reach a specific goal.
- Assess, measure, and prioritize financial and business risksrelated to corporate initiatives. Address risks throughunderstanding/development of mitigation and contingency plans forhigh-priority drivers.
- Understand and analyzecosts, spending, and cost drivers.
- Createinternal and external financial reports for both individualentities and groups using appropriate accounting and/or regulatoryrequirements.
- Coordinate with relevant staffat CIS regarding the preparation of the annual business plans andprovide necessary financial advice andsupport.
- Liaise with the Dean s Office and theappropriate entities: HBKU Operations, HBKU/QF Finance, and otherdepartments to ensure effective support in all areas and to providea mechanism for unit and entityaccountability.
