· Undertake and complete taskedmaintenance & diagnostic activities on the Typhoon orweapons systems/components which may include, as appropriate,aircraft ground handling, flight servicing, aircraft role changes,embodiments, component removals, inspections, repairs,modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/orfunctional/system test

· Undertakingdetailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on anaircraft or aircraft components. Assuring work carried out has beencompleted in accordance with the SOW / Work package using therelevant approved technical information. Resolving faults andmaintenance issues, including an awareness of configurationmanagement

· Supervising the team toensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and highlight anyissues, escalate as required. Report on any impact to the widerprogramme

· Ensuring staff aresufficiently competent and approved for the maintenance tasksallocated to them. Maintain personal & teams taskauthorisation for working on an aircraft or components inaccordance with AMC requirements

·Undertaking support tasks within the Aircraft or componentmaintenance facility which are required to maintain compliance withthe MOE and AMC procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control oftooling / test equipment)

· Provideguidance and leadership to the team. Develop team members usingformal assessment processes, e.g. PDR's, support andsponsor training requests including 'on the jobtraining'. Demonstrate sound and comprehensivecommunication and people management skills in order to exchangecomplicated information

· Undertakingfault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards and for'found faults' duringmaintenance

· Ability to scope andcarry out independent and vitalinspections

· Demonstrating a flexibleand proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriateto the role and tasks

· Maintainingpersonal & teams task authorisation for working on theTyphoon or components in accordance with regulatoryrequirements

· Ensuring thatmaintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues,escalate as required

· Ensuring allmaintenance activities are appropriately documented andairworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT/paperbased). Compile required reporting, identify any issues andescalate as appropriate

· Providingsupport and guidance, including allocation of tasks toappropriately authorised maintenancetechnicians

· Compiling appropriatereporting, identification of any issues, resolving and escalatingas appropriate to ensure the maintenance servicing remains onschedule

· Providing OJT aligned tothe role training specification to QAFcandidate
