Continuing and Professional Education (CPE): Continuingand Professional Education (CPE)is inviting nominations andapplications for the position of Head, Business Development andCommunity Engagement.
Reporting to the Director, Continuing andProfessional Education, Head, Business Development and CommunityEngagement must be a proven leader with the skills and expertisenecessary to support the Continuing and Professional EducationDirectoratein all the Educational and Training affairs of theDirectorate and fully implementing UDST's mission andvision.
Duties & Responsibilities This position requires anenergetic and enthusiastic individual who promote the educationalcourses and programs offered by UDST, connect with businesses andgovernment to understand the market and training needs, andfacilitate custom program and service development reflective ofthese needs.
The successful candidate will conduct businessdevelopment and research activities to understand the market andfuture training needs that ensure CPE activities are competitive inthe current market and that long-term corporate training needs areincluded in the strategic planning of the Directorate.
Thesuccessful candidate will oversee the development of contracts,proposals, and presentations on the programs to be delivered andliaise with target industries.
The successful candidate willcoordinate with businesses, industries, government departments,professional and trade associations, community organizations toidentify training needs in the market.
The successful candidatewill maintain ongoing interaction and collaboration with UDSTColleges and Directorates to ensure a list of courses and programsare available and offered at UDST.
The successful candidate willcoordinate with the Marketing & Communications to advertiseand promote programs and courses. Attend trade shows or job fairsto connect with clients, promote and represent UDST continuingeducation services.The successful candidate will provideprofessional development support and perform periodic performancereviews for direct subordinates to contribute to the development ofemployees, in collaboration with the Human Capital Directorate andhave excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making,delegation and communications skills as well as the ability to actas a mentor to team members.
Qualifications Education andCertifications:
Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline from arecognized, accredited institution. Masters degree/Professionalcertification in relevant field is preferred.
Experience:
A minimumof seven years of relevant experience of which two years should bein the education sector
Language:
Fluency in written and spokenEnglish language . Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language .
Other Required Skills:
Demonstrably outstanding track record ofleadership and management. Experience in accreditation and planningof college courses and programs. Good understanding of teaching,learning and student experience is required. Strong leadershipskills with a desire to achieve organizational success and to leadby example is required.
