Responsible foroperation, maintenance and repair of fire alarms, massnotification, fire suppression systems to include ANSUL wetchemical systems, backflow prevention, fire hydrant flow testingand marking per NFPA standards in support of base operations.

Reports to the Fire Alarm Technician Lead and works with a team ofOM&R Fire Alarm, Suppression, Mass Notification, FireHydrants & Backflow Prevention Systems Professionals.

• Shall inspect, test, maintain,repair, and replace fire alarm systems and mass notificationsystems (MNS) basewide, to include Fire Department control systems,in a manner that will ensure their serviceability and operation IAWapplicable standards and manufacturer's instructions.
• Shall perform functional operation tests on installedfire detection and alarm systems to ensure that fire alarm systemsare operational IAW applicable Unified Facility Codes (UFC), NFPAStandards and manufacturer's instructions.
• Interpret instruments and meter readings, use wiring diagrams,schematics, drawings and technical publications, use applicabletest equipment, enforce safety rules and practices, environmentalpolicies, and principles of management and operation of on-sitefire alarm and control systems.
• Shall review the designto ensure that all NFPA Standards and building constructionspecifications are met to include applicable National FireProtection Administration (NFPA) and Unified Facilities Criteria(UFC).
• Follow preventative maintenance plan and maintainrecords.
• Responsible for following and implementing workprioritization requirements within provided timelines usingautomated management systems for all work orders.
• Responsible for following a comprehensive safety program incompliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF)requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean,sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free ofdust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
• Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, andproperly documented training program.
• Responsible forproper utilization and safeguarding of all government andcontractor provided property (e.g., to include governmentfacilities, equipment and tools).
• Responsible forprecise execution of company time reporting procedures and accuratecompletion of timesheet.
• Perform other duties asassigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and missionrequirements Qualifications Education/Certifications: One yearrelated experience may be substituted for one year of education, ifdegree is required.
• Mass Notification Technicians shallmeet the qualifications required by UFC.
• Fire AlarmTechnicians shall be NICET Level I Certified and have directexperience relating to the installation, maintenance, and

• Must have acurrent, valid U. S. Passport and Driver's License (ableto drive manual transmission).
• Must have and maintain avalid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
• Must obtain an Air Force flight line driver'slicense upon deployment.
• Must pass a flight line accesstest and obtain flight line access badge upon deployment.
• Must be able to pass employment and deploymentqualification requirements that include psychological, medical,dental, drug
• testing and background checks.
• Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands-on CBRN(chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense
• training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DODprovided protective gear.
