Job Description:
QA/QC HVAC Engineer


Position Overview:

A Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) HVAC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems and related components in construction, manufacturing, or maintenance projects.

This role involves thorough inspection, testing, and documentation to ensure that HVAC systems meet industry standards, codes, and project specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

Inspection and Testing:
Conduct detailed inspections of HVAC systems, equipment, and components during various project phases.
Perform testing procedures to verify the functionality, performance, and safety of HVAC systems.
Monitor installation and construction processes to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement QA/QC plans specific to HVAC systems.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Identify potential defects or discrepancies and work with the project team to rectify issues.

Documentation:
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance records.
Create detailed reports outlining findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards (such as ASHRAE, ICC, and local building codes) for HVAC systems.

Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices related to HVAC systems.

Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address quality-related concerns.
Communicate effectively to ensure proper understanding of QA/QC requirements and expectations.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (some positions may require additional HVAC certifications).
  • Proven experience in HVAC system Maintanace
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to quality issues.
  • Experience with relevant software tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with HVAC testing equipment and measurement tools.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

GAS:
5 years (preferred)
