- Support the development of OHSpolicies and programs
- Advise and instruct onvarious safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machineryetc.)
- Conduct risk assessment and enforcepreventative measures
- Review existing policiesand measures and update according tolegislation
- Initiate and organize OHS trainingof employees and executives
- Inspect premisesand the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity(e.g. not using protective equipment)
- Overseeinstallations, maintenance, disposal of substancesetc.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes thatseem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record andinvestigate incidents to determine causes and handleworker's compensation claims
- Preparereports on occurrences and provide statistical information to uppermanagement
