Professional Pastry Chef

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare a wide variety of cakes, bread and pastries using traditional and modern recipes.
  • Be able to create own, unique recipes in in making cakes, bread, and pastries which can be used to renew our menus, including glutenfree recipes.
  • Be able to decorate cakes, bread, and pastries, using different icings, toppings, etc. that would make the presentation attractive and exciting.
  • Monitor available stocks of ingredients and make appropriate orders within the given budget.
  • Check quality of ingredients to ensure that these are of the standard quality.
  • Monitor procurement of ingredients from the authorized suppliers.
  • Check the status/condition of the equipment and other devices used in the kitchen.
  • Guide and provide instructions to the kitchen staff in order for them to work efficiently and perform according their work according to standards.
  • Communicate with the office staff, shop staff, and delivery when it comes to receiving, preparing, and delivering orders of customers.
  • Determine requirements for staff and help train personnel.
  • Ensure that the kitchen staffs adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role for at least 5 years.
  • Great attention to detail and creativity.
  • Organizing and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to replenish professional knowledge.
  • In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
- .Working knowledge of making cakes, bread & pastries with ingredient limitations (cakes that are gluten free, sugarless, keto, vegan, etc.)

  • Diploma/Certificate in culinary arts, pastrymaking, baking or relevant field
  • Available to join immediately.
Salary will be discussing during the interview.

Waiter/Waitress

Waiter/Waitress Responsibilities:


  • Greet customers and hand out menus.
  • Take meal and beverage orders from customers and place these orders in the kitchen.
  • Make menu recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
  • Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
  • Check that customers are satisfied with their meal.
  • Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
  • Cash up bills and ensure that the correct amount has been paid.
  • Administer change to tables if needed.
  • Endurance to walk and stand for long hours.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping anything.

Experience:


  • Waiter/Waitress: 2 years of experience in five star hotels. (preferred)
  • At least vocational diploma/Certificate.
Salary will be discussing during the interview.


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
