    • 1. Manage an individual case loadof patients effectively and efficiently undertaking predominantlycomplex cases in area ofspecialty
    • Independently assess, analyze andsynthesize complex evaluation data and provide a clinical diagnosisfor individual patients to determine their need for occupationaltherapy intervention withinspecialtyarea.
    • Independently formulate atreatment plan in collaboration with patient/family, deliveringindividual physiotherapy treatment according to evidence basedpractice /clinical guidelines
    • Reassess clinicaloutcomes, to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress ofpatient towards goals, and the need for modifying goals andtreatment
    • Carries out a comprehensive dischargeplan, and collaborates with the other multidisciplinary teammembers and family when the measurable short and long term goalshave been achieved.
    • Provide patient and familyeducation in a timely manner as part of the occupational therapyprocess.
    • Work as part of a team to ensureeffective communication and delivery of care includingparticipation in medical/surgical rounds, clinics,conferences.
    • Maintain patient documentation,records and accurate statistical information to reflect careprovided and meet professionalstandards.
