Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Discuss and establish qualification requirements and terms and conditions of employment with managers;
- Formulate detailed job descriptions;
- Maintains a database of high potential applicants for future vacancies;
- Produces reports on hiring plans and strategies;
- Analyzes recruitment procedures and the performance of recruitment agencies, and recommends improvements and/or changes.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, business or another related field;
- 5 years of experience as a recruiting specialist with a track record of employee placement;
- Ability to work within a team and to coordinate team activities;
- Strong communication skills and able to interface with relevant internal and external parties;
- Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment;
- Indepth knowledge of hiring strategies, applicable labor laws, and employment equity;
- Ability to evaluate recruiting software packages and/or procedures to recommend those which are best suited to the company.
