Start Up Supervisor Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity to Manage the construction / commissioning phase, he/she is assisting as Field Operations focal at offshore and will start preparing the Start-Up procedure of the facilities and anticipate their operability.


Your main duties will be to:

  • Identifies in conjunction with the Operating Authority (OTL) the procedures & precautions to be taken, to provide safe place for the intended start-up activities.
  • Prepare start-up procedures sharing them with the Field Operation core crew to make them applicable on site.
  • Finalize a detail start-up sequence in close collaboration with the core field operation onshore/offshore.
  • Participate and assist in the preparation of the kick off meeting for start-up activities.
  • Participate to the preparation of the risk assessment of the activities to be performed during the start-up.
  • Prepare as performing authority the potential permit to work required for start-up activities associated with Company Only Fluid (COF).
  • Liaise with the Field Operations lead on the site to coordinate the progress of the start-up.
  • Contributes to updates the Start-up monitoring tools as required with the N+1/N+
  • Takes part in every Permit To Work meetings related to start-up and commissioning activities.
  • Witness the Operational Test perform by the commissioning and liaise with the field operation team
  • Prepare the request and order for required startup tools. Ensure proper storage and identification of the startup tools.
  • Prepare the operation of first fill with the commissioning team.
  • Prepare arrival on site (PTW, KOM, JSA ) of the vendor involve in the startup of the facility.
  • Identify and check the critical valves (especially on brown field) use a battery limit for leak test.
  • Check any type B and C punch list and investigate on it if requested by the Field Operations lead, the OTL or the OIM.
  • Ensure the list of inhibition and isolation with the associated certificates and risk assessment properly signed and validated by the relevant persons.
  • Be aware of the potential Downgraded situation on site and update the core crew on any update associated with the startup activity. Ideally, you will have graduated with minimum Higher Secondary School Education plus a threeyear technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).

Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years offshore level on-field equipment in diversified oil & gas.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.


  • Ability to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others
  • Must have a proven sense of operational
responsibility, courage to intervene and challenge - Previous experience with - Start-up procedure write-up, - OTP and start-up experience Production, Commissioning & Construction operations - Previous experience in brownfield offshore is added advantage.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
