About the role
As Manager Clinical Governance, you will be expected to Support the Qatar Airways' Medical Leadership to ensure that the Medical Division continuously improves the quality of its service and safeguards the high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence of clinical care will flourish whilst maintaining National and International Medical Regulatory standards.
- Plans, develops and reviews administrative Policies, Procedures and Clinical Guidelines to ensure
- management system, and is responsible to ensure these are reviewed regularly.
- Develops a strategy to ensure any shortfalls and near misses noted in clinical treatment protocols compared to case presentation are identified and addressed. Looks at types of medical cases (such hypertension, anxiety, that are commonly presenting to the department) and ensures that best practice
- Identifies and manages departmental risks by performing risk assessments and suggesting control
- used.
- Develops a medical asset management programme and ensures all equipment is calibrated.
- Develop a training programme to upskill operational and safety managers on medical regulatory issues.
- Ensure that the departments strategic goals, with a focus on patient safety and cost containment are met.
- Ensures that all medical services being delivered are up to or exceed the set standards.
- Oversees that all medical records and patient notes are complete, held securely and are audited.
- Work closely with QR Information Technology and procurement departments to identify and establish a Decision Support tool and Health Information System that is fit for purpose and capable of capturing Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure that regulatory documentation is complete, appropriate and regularly reviewed.
- Reviews provider performance and ICD codes and ensures that guidelines are both in place and being followed.
- Ensure Departmental activities and guidelines are in keeping with local and international standards such as, and not limited to, those guidelines set forth by Qatar's Ministry of Public Health, NICE, Australian Medical Colleges by regularly reviewing relevant websites and publications.
- Establish the department or teams' objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate the department or teams' objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Qualifications:
About you
You will possess:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with Minimum 8 years of jobrelated experience
- A recognized qualification in Medical Administration or equivalent.
- Hospital or Medical department management experience.
- Experience working in Commercial or Industrial/Military setting.
- Management 10 years of jobrelated experience required
- Aviation medicine/Regulation experience
- Command of English language
- Managerial skills
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
