Job Purpose:

The Accountant is responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant recording, reporting and analysis of financial information.

This position involves recording transactions, compiling and analysing data, performing audits, budgeting and financial forecasting, costing, supporting the Business Plan, computing taxes and financial reporting to Management.

The Accountant works closely together with other the Accountants, Head of Operations and other internal stakeholders.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Managing accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
  • Supervising stock management and inventory.
  • Supporting Management with drafting a Business Plan or Business study for new brands.
  • Costing, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Handling receivables and follow up with sales collection.
  • Checking and processing expenses submitted by employees.
  • Ensuring timely bank payments.
  • Creating periodic Management reports, e.g. balance sheets, profit & loss statements and budget performance.
  • Preparing, generating, and maintaining payroll documentation.
  • Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
  • Auditing financial transactions and documents and resolving discrepancies.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements to processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


Essential

  • 3 to 5 years of deep accounting experience in the trading or retail sector.
  • Experienced with financial reporting requirements.
  • Experienced with Stock management and inventory
  • Professionalism, highly confidentiality and detailoriented.

Attributes & Competencies:


  • Demonstrated advanced skills of MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problemsolving skills.
  • Deadlineoriented and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate effectively across the organization.

Qualifications_:
_

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Pay:
QAR2, QAR3,000.00 per month

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
