Primary Purpose of the Services:

• Carry out detailed engineering drafting work using design calculations as appropriate for Mechanical, Piping, and create as built drawings for Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines from Mark up/sketches.

Generate drawings for construction and maintain the As Built core for all drawings, schematics including Material Take Off.

• Develop drawings from sketches and conceptual drawings by carrying out a search in the archives, visiting the plant, taking measurements, making sketches.
• Update drawings and associate data to as built status by site verification and markup preparationSummary of Major Duties and Responsibilities-Carry out the drafting requirements for projects and Plant Change Requests.
• Prepare, discuss and amend design sketches and detailed drawings of various facilities for Construction, based on design calculations, field measurements and other information.
• Ensure correct level of accuracy and quality of presentation and that all drawings conform as per approved standards, specifications and design requirements.
• Prepare piping and mechanical equipment drawing (mechanical discipline) such as isometric drawing, Piping General Arrangement drawings, P&ID, Pipe support detailed equipment sectional detailed drawings, piping layouts, pipe routing layout, rotating and static equipment detailed drawings, etc to carry out the work.
• Search vendor catalogues, old drawings and original equipment specification sheets to obtain necessary information as required for further development by the related design Engineer.

Education:

• Higher National Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of drawings and documents of Mechanical discipline.

Experience:

• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in Refinery / Petrochemical facilities.
• Good knowledge in AutoCAD (both 2D & 3D) With Good knowledge in Plant 3D, & other CAD design software is preferred Possesses a minimum of level 3 in English communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word-Not over the age of forty five (45) years.
• Age limit : Not over the age of forty five (45) years.

Pre-Qualification and CertificationThe Design draftsman should have his Higher National Diploma Certificate (3 years course duration) and seven (7) to ten (10) years experience certificate.

Should be able to create and update drawings including bill of material from site mark up, sketches and diagrams through site survey and data mining in Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument Disciplines
