    • Become fully familiar with theproject scope of work, specifications, schedule and allinter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns asearly as practicable and taking appropriate initiative to addressthe issues. Interpret contractual requirements as they relate toengineering execution.
    • Identify changes toscope and promptly raise change notification, including providingany necessary supporting documentation and estimates. Providesimilar support for Variation order.
    • Interfacewith all disciplines to develop clash freedesigns.
    • Interface with other departments toobtain input for Discipline designs anddrawings.
    • Maintain close coordination withother engineering disciplines, Planning, Fabrication/Construction,Marine/Hook-up Commissioning and Project Management Team asrequired.
    • Document substantive communications(Communication that results in significant decisions or assignmentof actions) and forward copies to Discipline Lead Engineer andDiscipline Manager.
    • Prepare estimates for bidproposals, including technical query reviews, execution statementsand workhour estimates, identifying software requirements and anyother project-specific requirements.
    • Raisetechnical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scopeand to maintain preferred McDermott Procedures, specification,standards, practices and operationalrequirements.
    • Prepare, review, and (as a LeadEngineer) approve discipline engineering design basis,philosophies, and technical specifications, data sheets reports andprocedures.
    • Participate in finalizingdeliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance withspecifications and functional integrity.
    • Reviewproject schedule and fabrication schedule in relation toconstruction sequence, milestones, model review and engineeringscopes.
    • Attend project kick off and reviewmeetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings and offshore sitesurveys as required.
    • Provide technicaldirection and review of Designers products related to ElectricalEngineering.
    • Attend 3D model reviews, safetyworkshops, constructability review & Clientmeetings.
    • Assist in providing necessary designinputs to other disciplines to enable them in proceeding with theirdeliverables.
    • Assist procurement personnel inprocuring Discipline equipment, materials and services; ensuringthat work produced complies with Customer objectives andprocedures. Procurement assistance includes preparing, reviewing,and (as Lead Engineer) approving requisitions, evaluating technicalquotations and preparing queries, compiling bid tabulations andrecommendations, preparing purchase requisitions, and coordinatingwith Procurement to expedite vendor documents, as directed byDiscipline Lead Engineer.
    • Assist in updatingweight report based on receipt of vendorinformation.
    • Review and (as Lead Engineer)approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking forcompliance with project specifications and providing comments asnecessary.
    • Review and (as Lead Engineer)approve design verification through single-discipline check/inter-discipline check {IDC}.
    • Provide technicalsupport to fabrication queries, including identifying defect /rectification requirements.
    • Keep the DisciplineManager and Project Management Team apprised of all activities andconcerns, technical, budgetary and manpowerrelated.
    • Assist in providing inputs for actual,planning and forecasting progress reports including associatedproductivity.
    • Check final subcontractor andvendor data manuals to ensure that all requested data has beenreceived and approved.
    • Present issues andproblems to Customers in a timely manner and assist Lead Engineerin negotiating resolution in accordance with project and companyrequirements.
    • Perform (as required) TechnicalQuality Audit reviews in accordance with MOR Global Procedures. -Assist Lead Engineer with responses to Customer and other agencies(such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc.) ontheir review and approval.
    • Capture lessonslearned and entered into MDR's Lessons Learnedsystem.
    • Capture Knowledge Objects and enterinto MDR's K.Now system.
    • Guide lessexperienced engineers on MOR and Discipline procedures, standards,worksheets, design calculations, software, requisitions, technicalbid evaluations, technical queries,etc.
