BIM Manager is responsible for delivering abusiness's technology strategy and promoting the benefitsof digital ways of working. He may support a small team, ensuringthat projects run smoothly, and project information models aredelivered on time. The role involves working closely with BIMcoordinators who are responsible for managing the digitalprocess.

Duties &Responsibilities:

• Actingas the intermediary between designers, clients, and architects sothat projects remain efficient andeffective.
• Working closely with BIMcoordinators, who are responsible for producing project informationmodels.
• Ensuring that BIM execution plans areproduced and maintained for eachproject.
• Completing supply chainassessments.
• Supporting and auditing theproject team and flaggingnon-compliances.
• Training or upskillingcolleagues in specific softwareprograms.
• Ensuring staff have access to thetools and equipment they need.
• Overseeing thepurchase of workstations so that hardware is sufficient andeffective.
• Producing monthly reports for seniormanagers, to identify and measure BIMimplementation.
• Keeping up to date withadvancements in building technology.
• Drivingthe implementation of digital information plans andstrategies.
• Leading meetings to identifyproject tasks and resolve issues.
• OverseeingBIM budgets.
• Supporting the career development,coaching, and mentoring of a team ofstaff.
• Raising the profile of BIM within acrossdepartments and teams.
• Adhering to the latestindustry standards.
• Provide training to staffon BIM tools, processes, and bestpractices.
• Implement and enforce BIM standardsto maintain data quality andconsistency.
• Conduct regular audits of BIMmodels to ensure compliance with establishedstandards.
• Ensure smooth exchange of databetween different BIM tools andplatforms.
• Explore opportunities forintegrating BIM with other technologies, such as virtual reality oraugmented reality.
