  • Witnessing job from the client side to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Conducting inspections and tests on switchgear and MCCs, including circuit breaker and contractor setting and trip checks.
  • Overseeing installation and alignment activities to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Verifying ancillary installations and busbar connections.
  • Conducting power and control cable connections and performing wiring checks.
  • Performing insulation resistance tests and calibration of meters, relays, and switchgear.
  • Ensuring proper functioning of interlock devices and monitoring space heaters.
  • Conducting earthing resistance and high potential checks.
  • Performing startup and operational checks on electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Inspecting cable trays, trenching, and conduit placement.
  • Conducting insulation resistance tests and ensuring grounding continuity.
  • Identifying and assessing cable conditions, including cable identification and inspection.
  • Conducting loop tests for input/output signals and calibration of instruments.
  • Inspecting instrument pressure lines and ensuring compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

Required Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Comp Ex / ATEX certification is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing and testing of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, ICSS control systems, and cables.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection and testing procedures at manufacturer facilities.
  • Understanding of certification requirements for electrical equipment.
  • Experience working from the client side is preferred.

Additional Information
The working hours for this position are 10 hours per day, spanning 26 days each month. This project operates on a man-day basis, meaning that employees will be compensated for the days they work. The standard workday is fixed at 10 hours. Employees will have Fridays off as their weekly rest day, but this day is not considered a paid day.

However, if the client requires employees to work on Fridays, they will be eligible for overtime compensation at the net hourly rate.
