• Leads the Project ManagementTeam's Contracting activities in issuing ITT, executionof the EPC contract and coordinates input with Legal and otherMajor Project Groups / PMT functions asrequired.
• Evaluating EPC contractor'stechnical bid and making appropriate recommendations to Shareholderwith respect to acceptability of Contract terms andconditions.
• Administering the EPC contract,documenting and recording all changes, progress measurements andpayments, management of claims, monitoring of bonds/guarantees,preparation of Contract modifications and closing out thecontract.
• Assist with the review andnegotiation of project change requests submitted by EPCContractor.
• Take the lead in preparingcontractual responses to the EPCContractor.
• Interface with EPC Contractor inresolving Contractual related issues.
• Works ina highly visible project environment with large capitalexpenditures and significant schedule executionpressures.
• Understands the key project drivers,defines roles and responsibilities, develops communicationprotocols, identifies, develops, and implements project proceduresfor contract management.
• The prime objective ofcontract management is to improve project performance byanticipating issues, avoiding negative situations, and reducing thefrequency of poor outcomes. Embedded robust contract managementpractices have been shown to contribute to the consistent deliveryof successful projects.
• Bachelor'sdegree in business, Law or Engineering or equivalentexperience.
• Minimum of 10 years'experience in a major project environment within the oil and gasindustry, with exposure in business and risk management includingproject controls, cost and schedule development, tender preparationand contract management and 3 years supervising multi disciplineand multi-cultural teams and as Head of Controls for megaprojects.
