Performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers), ironing, folding, storing and delivery of laundry items.
- Ensures smooth running of process right from soiled linen to clean linen.
- Operate washers and dryers according to recommended capacity and other manufacturer's guidelines.
- Prioritizes any request for linen to avoid delay.
- Separate linen into type of materials, soils, level and color for ease of process, to prevent color run to another material and to prevent heavy soils staining on the light soiled items.
- Washing, Drying, Pressing of Linen and Guest Laundry as needed.
- Ensure that all kinds of laundry items given outsourced laundry company are properly checked and logged.
- Ensure that all outsourced laundry items are delivered on time and without delay.
- Ensure that all outsourced laundry are delivered as per standard and report any damage, torn, stained, etc immediately to supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.
- To standby empty trolleys for sorting and ensure that all linen trolleys are cleaned
- Pack all the linen trolleys neat and tidy.
- Cleans laundry machinery and laundry area.
- Sort and record discarded linen into categories. Report damages or loss of linen to supervisor.
- Issues all new employees with one set of uniform and records accordingly.
- Before sorting, checks the uniform for missing buttons, zips, torn or pressing quality
- Sorts Out and hang Uniform According to the Outlets/Departments or Employee code.
- Ensure HOD laundries are logged in and out properly.
- Adhere to the Lost and Found policies and procedures.
- Aware of the joint responsibility for safety in our Hotel and abides strictly by all the safety instructions, especially when operating the machines and equipment
- Attends scheduled training courses, briefings as required.
- Participates actively in Hotelinitiated employee activities.
- Maintains good relationships with colleagues within the department and with other departments and contributes to team spirit.
- Comply with hotel standards in relation to hygiene, health, and safety policy
- Adheres to set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.
- To carry out other tasks as maybe required from time to time by the Supervisor/ Executive Housekeeper.
Accommodation, Transportation, and Food Allowance are provided by the company_
Salary:
From QAR1,600.00 per month
