About the role


As Business Intelligence Specialist, you are responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to study consumer behaviour, brand business intelligence, business performance as well as evaluating KPls for all functions including retail, F&B, store, category, inventory, warehouse, finance to ensure the Business is provided with timely data analysis for decision making.

You will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful dashboards, developing predictive models and providing data-driven insights to Senior Management through dashboards and presentations.

In addition, you will maintain QDF database and Bl tool(s) in coordination with QR IT, conduct and evaluate all daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales and promotion reports/dashboards, work on Power Bl projects by assisting team inrestructuring, mapping, generating, maintaining and analysing sales performance and margin.


Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development of analytical projects by managing timelines, and requirements of all Power Bl analytical reports including QDF's daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports/dashboard with a sensible 360 assessment of QDF's KPls trends against budget, historical trends, passenger traffic, inventory performance and other relevant factors to analyse business performance and accordingly provide key findings to support decision making at all level.
  • Work with all relevant business owner and end users including Category Manager, Operational Managers, Marketing Department etc. to understand and assess their reporting requirements or if any modifications required for existing reporting to support sales team operation.
  • Coordinate with QR IT for reporting development to ensure the alignment with the new Bl reporting and analytical structure.
  • Conduct frequent gap analysis and logical root cause methodology to define all possible factors impacting the sales trend, fluctuation, and provide realistic feedback/recommendations to the line manager and senior management for attention and appropriate action.
  • Work actively with VP & Business intelligence Manager on QDF budget, forecasting and provide budget recommendations to respond to a wide range of issues.
  • Develop, formulate, and recommend funding scenarios to address concerns and facilitate resolutions to support the business growth.
  • Conduct market research on product pricing within travel retail industry, propose and implement actions to ensure QDFC offer are in line with the market trend, when required, propose and initiate promotional activities to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on customer spend patterns by age, nationality, gender, and category etc., analysis every aspect of bestsellers and slow sellers in each category and recommend area of improvements to the senior management.
  • Design and execute business intelligence reports as per business requirements by taking initiatives focused on centralizing and standardizing data from various source systems.
  • Ensure automation of reporting and dashboard to improve the business requirements.
  • Implement master list of all reports and user access, benchmarking analysis and studies, report manuals, implement data governance standards, business rules and processes to refine and strengthen existing business infrastructure and processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and sense check analysis to ensure all the information provided through Bl platform is accurate and uptodate. Verify user list access to ensure that only the authorized personnel have the access to the reports and dashboard

Qualifications:


About you

  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of jobrelated experience; or
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of jobrelated experience

Job-specific skills & experience:

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with external/internal customers
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis tools, techniques and interpretation of raw data, into presentation materials
  • Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills
  • Strong followthrough and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to be detailed oriented and perform indepth research
  • Strong competency
