    Provide independent and objective assuranceto the Board Audit Committee on the effectiveness ofQatarEnergy's governance, risk management and controlpractices over operations and projects through a structured programof risk based internal audits. The assurance is provided bymanaging risk-based audits of QatarEnergy:
    • Operationsand project management activities and business processes.
    • Support functions including Human Capital, Finance& Strategy, Legal, Business Support Services (HSE, BusinessServices, Information Technology, and Industrial Cities) andCEO's Office.
    • Upstream and downstreamsubsidiaries, Joint Ventures andPSAs.

    Education

    1.A Bachelor's degree in an accounting, financial,engineering, economics, or other relevantdiscipline

    2. Post graduate professionalqualifications ispreferred.

    Experience& Skills

    1. A minimum of15 years internal auditing experience, including 5 years industryexperience and at least 5 years in internal audit managementrole.

    2. Has in depth understanding of the Oiland Gas Industry with strong analytical skills required to identifyand to resolve key business control and complianceissues

    3. Excellent communication and leadershipskills are required to successfully engage auditee management indiscussions on key issues and the need forchange

    4. Ability to manage/cope with changes intechnology and an advanced understanding of dataanalytics

    5. Experience in audit related projectse.g. implementing audit management software.

    6.Job holder has routine contact with QatarEnergy's seniormanagement (Executive Vice Presidents, VPs, Corporate Managers,etc.) to plan audits and to report audit results including managingrisk-based audits of QatarEnergy operations and projectsprocesses.

    7. A high-level of functionalsituational awareness, discretion, diplomacy, transparency andindependence is required.

    8. Strong leadershipskills to ensure operations and project audits are conductedaccording to plan and in a professional manner to ensure thatInternal Audit remains independent and respected by allstakeholders.

    9. Strong leadership andcommunications skills are required to balance the development ofgood working relationships with senior management whilstmaintaining Internal Audit's objectivity andindependence.

    10. The incumbent is required toroutinely manage significant and complex unplanned auditassignments.

    11. Audit assignments take place atvarious QatarEnergy and non-QatarEnergy locations within Qatar andinternationally. This requires the incumbent to travel to, from andbetween these locations.
