• Delivery of safe andenvironmentally sound drilling engineering solutions on time andwithin budget.
• Monitor and coach staff andcontractors in an international safety culture and expectations,with a strong emphasis on IraqiNationals.
• Manage and develop the Rumailadrilling engineering organisation.
• Work withsubsurface team to ensure delivery of new well designs andprogrammes to meet production targets.
• Overseefull integration between sub-surface and wells teams during theplanning process and operationalphase.
• Assurance of the technical integrity ofthe operations and compliance with projectstandards.
• Administration of contracts todeliver drilling operations and identification of future contractrequirements.
• Provide a technical focal pointfor project input into contractrequirements.
• The identification andapplication of value enhancing, innovative and newtechnologies.
• Point of contact for drillingengineering activities.
• Responsible fortechnical integrity and assurance of well designs and technicalrisk assessment, management, contingency planning andmitigation.
• Coordination and maintenance of theelements of the Well DeliveryProcess.
• Specification and standardisation ofinstalled well equipment (OCTG, wellhead, trees,etc).
• Ensure alignment with project standards,integration of learnings, best practice and benchmarkingdata.
• Review of drilling programmes andrecommendations for improvement andoptimisation.
• Coordination of in housetechnical support and external drilling technicalsupport
• Participation in rig / well site andservice base audits for conformity to projectstandards.
