As the Regional Business Services Manager, you will act as a deputy of VP - Outstations Services in the assigned region, responsible for maintaining and enhancing standards of financial and general administrative matters for all departments and divisions represented at the outstations within the assigned region.

You will execute processes and policies that ensure QR's interests are managed with the optimal costs and consistently wherever possible, ensuring 100% compliance on all financial matters

Role responsibilities

  • Provides the regional perspectives to VP Outstation Services to support the identification of areas for improvements to Finance which affect the region
  • Manages a team of Business Services Specialists and Business Services Coordinators in the region ensuring local financial administrative tasks do not take up the time of the outstation departments. finance tasks are performed as aligned to corporate guidelines and to agreed service levels
  • Supports the VP Outstations in formulating and/or improving policies, checklists and templates.
  • Communicating and clarifying company policies and resolving Commercial and Operational adminrelated cases with Finance without delay and implementing changes, where needed.
  • Provides guidance to HQ and Outstation Managers on company procedures relating to Finance issues. Ensures their issues are handled and fast tracked.

Qualifications:

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum 6 years of jobrelated experience
  • Business support or shared services role with experience within finance.
  • Proven experience of driving significant change in processes to remove duplication and drive efficiency.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong analytical skills and numerical reasoning.
  • Excellent organizational Ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Selfstarter and have the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to critically challenge submissions or policies/processes.
