    Purpose

    • Memberof the Technical Department, to give all the technical support toPlant team, Sales Department in addition to customers.
    • Support sales activities of LV,MV&HV cables by providingoptimum cable design meeting customer's specifications aswell as provides after sales services to customers.
    • Initiate and follow-up all product designing activities (Design andDevelopment) to ensure new products are produced according productdesign.
    Activities include identification of requirements forproducts based on projects and products based on costumersSpecification:

    defining input parameters, acceptance criteria, testlimits, verification, approving and releasing the final design ofthe products in the form of Design Sheet (DS) for production.

    Areasof responsibility

    • Study international standards alongwith customers specifications
    • Ensure to work withupdated international standards & specifications.
    • Review technical specifications received from sales fornon-standard products, review the customer requirements, and studymanufacturing possibilities based on machinery and testing andaccordingly recommend to sales to accept or decline thecustomer's request for the quantities.
    • Developproduct manufacturing specifications according tocustomers' requirements.
    • Provide a cable Designsheet (DS) that contains the cable dimension/structure and bill ofmaterials (BOM) to list the material required to manufacture aspecific cable designed and other technical data required bylogistics/Planning to determine material availability, deliveryschedule, and manufacturing data (Routing)to determine product costfor quotation to the customer.
    • Initiate and follow-upall product designing activities by releasing trial (Design andDeveloped) for the New Family Products according to the companydesign and development procedure, then review the Inspection andTest Specification and put the acceptance criteria formanufacturing and testing the product as part of product Designapproval.
    • Make final assessment/evaluation and prepare asummary of the results of actual measurements made on themanufactured products and discuss the result with the Head ofTechnical Department for granting approval, disapproval orrecommended further revision in design for re-manufacturing.
    • Use existing software in the technical department andwork on to their upgrade to reach higher efficiency.
    • Ensure good flow of information between technical, production,supply chain, and sales.
    • Participate in creatingmaterial specifications.
    • Participate in reviewing thedesign sheets regularly to be cost-efficient and avoid over qualitycompared to standards.
    • Review and update companycatalogs as and when required.
    • Participate inpreparation and attendance of technical meetings, seminars, andexhibitions whenever needed. Expected results
    • To reviewdesign sheets and technical documents.
    • To apply routingsand calculation of different cableapplications.
