    Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations

    • Ensure that the agreed upondisciplinary process is maintained at all times and fairdisciplinary processes are followed by all HOD's.
    • Maintain and enhance the open door policy to allassociates providing advice and guidance when needed in regards totheir issues or concerns and/or grievances.
    • To provide asource of information to HOD's regarding disciplinary,grievance and staff counselling issues.
    • Ensure that alldisciplinary procedures are carried out, taking role ofimplementing them by ensuring consistency in the policy'simplementation. Take an active role as an arbitrator, note taker oradvisor where appropriate.
    • Train the AHRM/HRExecutive/HR Coordinator etc. in the above process
    • Logall the incidents in HRIS and file the original copies in theemployee files
    • On a monthly basis summarise all theincidents with regards disciplinary action and present to GM/RHRMwith recommendations HR Administration
    • Ensure the smoothworkflow of the various HR functionalities as to maintaining andproviding the needed support to associates and Supervisors/HOD's at all times. This includes, but is not limited tofiling, administration of starters and leavers and payroll.
    • To provide an advice service to associates andSupervisors/ HOD's on HR SOP's, Wyndham andlocal people policies, legal requirements, staffing issues, and actas an arbitrator where necessary.
    • Ensure that the hotelsare fully compliant with Wyndham people processes and deadlinesthat govern all Wyndham properties. i.e. AES, Success Matters etc.
    • Ensure that sporadic associate files audits are carriedout on a monthly basis.
    • Payroll to be reviewed andchecked prior to the GM/Director of Finance signing
    • Onboarding process to be seamless
    • To ensure that allleavers are processed in a timely manner and their leaving processis as good as their joining one
    • Manage the PRO and visaprocess to ensure that all associates have valid visas and thatthey are tracked appropriately Recruitment
    • Conductinterviews for all Supervisory and HOD positions
    • Work inconjunction with the HRBP for recruitment ofGM's/HM's/Director of Operations/Exec Com/HRTeam
    • Supervise HR team with regards to line levelrecruitment
    • Participate in annual salary and benefitsurveys
    • Ensure that the employment contracts templatesare pre-approved by RHRBP prior to use and not edited
    • Review manning and re-recruitment of all positions
    • Ensure that the arrival experience is as good as the guests
    • Ensures that all open jobs are posted via SuccessMatters and the SOPs and Wyndham standards are followed in usingthe system Performance Management
    • Ensure that alldeparting team members/staff members have the opportunity to havean online exit interview
    • On a monthly basis ensure thata summary of exit interviews is sent to the GM as well as theHOD's
    • Ensure that the administration of the3-month/5 month review (where applicable) process in the propertyand ensure that follow-up for all issues is done in timely mannerand results of both follow-up and the initial reviews arecommunicated to all relevant parties
    • Analyse the reviewsto see if there are trends in the reviews; this is to be shared ona monthly basis with the GM Payroll
    • Ensure that thepayroll is submitted to Finance on the agreed date
    • PHand Lieu day tracking is accurate and up to date
    • Overtime tracking is done in a timely manner – analyse tosee if we need any more staff/associates in any of the departmentsdue to consistent overtime
    • Analysis of the above to seeif the hotel need to change the way that we use casuals etc.– make a business case with the HOD for any changes
    • Review with the Dof/GM the payroll figures and challengethe HOD's with regards to over spending and casual usageThird party contracts Manage the following contracts:
    • Transportation
    • Team Member/Staff dining
    • Accommodation
    • Pest Control
    • Medical InsuranceManagement
    • Supervise the HR team and office on dailybasis
    • Schedule HR shift patterns and office openingtimes to ensure that HR are delivering what the associates need
    • Train and develop the team and provide support whenrequired
    • Ensure all direct reports have an PDP toachieve their goals
    • Ensure that effective communicationflow is maintained at all times
    • Actively participate inthe community involvement projects and initiatives together withthe hotel's management team
    • Conduct monthlyinspections at the staff accommodations with the Housing team andreport the results
    • Attend Departmental Meetings toaddress any issues or concerns for staff each department on aquarterly basis
