Kids Hair Salon Hairdresser

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic hairdresser to join our mobile kid's hair salon.

Our salon operates from a vintage-style van and provides high-quality hair care services for children while ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience.

As a hairdresser in our mobile salon, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, creating unique hairstyles, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Hair Care Services: Perform a wide range of hair care services, including haircuts, styling, blowdrying, braiding, and hair treatments, to children of various ages and hair types.
• Engage with Children: Create a friendly and welcoming environment to make children feel comfortable. Interact with them in a positive and playful manner to ensure an enjoyable salon experience.
• Understand Client Requirements: Communicate effectively with parents and children to understand their desired hairstyles and preferences. Provide appropriate recommendations based on hair type, face shape, and current trends.
• Execute Hair Cutting and Styling: Demonstrate exceptional skills in hair cutting and styling techniques suitable for children. Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in children's hairstyles.
• Ensure Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to strict safety and cleanliness standards, including proper sanitization of equipment and tools. Follow salon policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
• Maintain Salon Appearance: Keep the mobile salon clean, organized, and visually appealing, reflecting the salon's vintage style and theme. Assist in decorating the salon van to create an attractive and engaging ambiance.
• Handle Cash Transactions: Process payments accurately and efficiently using the salon's pointofsale system. Maintain proper records of transactions and manage cash handling responsibly.
• Build Customer Relationships: Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients and their parents. Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Stay Updated on

Industry Trends:
Attend relevant workshops, training sessions, and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge of children's hairstyles and trends. Share insights and recommendations with the team.

• Collaborate with

Team Members:
Work closely with other hairdressers, salon assistants, and staff members to ensure smooth salon operations. Support colleagues during busy periods and assist with various salon tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a hairdresser, preferably with experience in children's hairstyling.
• Proficient in a wide range of hair cutting, styling, and coloring techniques suitable for children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and their parents.
• Creativity and an eye for detail to deliver unique and ageappropriate hairstyles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple appointments and maintain a consistent schedule.
• Ability to work in a mobile environment and adapt to different locations and settings.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in a salon setting.
• Passion for working with children and creating a positive experience for them.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and during peak hours, as required.
