Job Summary.

As a QC Inspector, you will be responsible for all QA/QC related activities in the threading/machining facility for machine components. Performing assessment, documentation and organizational tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the organizations and supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITYIES

• To follow all safety rules, policies provided by NOV.
• Receiving inspection and verification of incoming materials as per specification/documents
• To Perform Inspection and verify that each threaded connection/part as per the provide drawing.
• Responsible for acceptance or rejection of machine/finished parts
• To assist machinist on technical issues
• Be familiar with required standards/procedures and specifications pertaining to quality and quality program.
• Create and maintain daily activity logs and process paperwork.
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.
• Carry out any other duties reasonable within capability as required by the Machine Shop Supervisor / Manager or his designee.
• Perform job duties accurately and be responsible, verify parts and work order. Assist shop, assembly, and personnel in determining causes for faulty materials or assemblies. Assist in everyday department operations including training of other employees as deemed necessary by supervisor/manager.
• Maintain the stock and inventory control of parts/items used in routine jobs.
• Review work order/specifications for each order received.
• Final inspection of serviced goods and issuing of COC, Control, and calibration of gauges/Instrument
• To know the company safety and environmental rules and regulations
• To report to immediate supervisor/manager during the emergency situations
• To attend all the HSEMS and QMS trainings planned by QA, Safety and HR
• Recognize environmental, health, and safety hazards.

AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

• Authorized to report any act/incident related to misbehaviour at workplace.
• Accountable for complying with the company safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Accountable for daily production target
• Accountable for reporting quality risks and authorized to report and stop the production if required.
• Accountable for maintaining the company property.

• Inspection of RSC connections such as (GP, API, VAM DS1, etc.)

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

Essential:

• Higher Secondary Certificate/Technical OR Relevant Work Experience/Training
• Must have a minimum 2 year of experience in Inspection of Rotary shoulder connection (API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, VAM etc.), on Drill pipe, Drill collar, Drill stem component, or similar background.
• Have an understanding of API + Audits.
• Able to interpret engineering drawing & specification to API, Grant Prideco, DS1, VAM, etc. Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment Minimum knowledge of English (Verbal & writing)

Desirable:

• Diploma of Mechanical Engineering
• Computer literate and knowledge MS office.
