    Job Responsibilities

    • Communicates effectively withpatients to obtain clinical history/informed consent from patientsor patients' charts to assist the physician in optimizingthe performance and interpretation of theexamination.
    • Explains procedures topatients/families and answers any questions to ease anxiety andensure patient cooperation.
    • Assists thephysician in performing a variety of examinations by using standarddepartment protocols, isolation precautions and/or steriletechnique. Demonstrates proper technique for injection ofradiopharmaceuticals under the American College of Radiologyguidelines.
