- Assist in the development and maintenance of Project Work BreakdownStructure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for specificscopes
- Assist in the development of project budgets in accordancewith the Basis of Estimate including statements of work scope,assumptions, man hour estimates, narratives and review &comment of client documents
- Liaise with procurement, finance andtime capture functions, and third parties as required, to supportaccurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontractand labour manhour costs, allocating costs in accordance withapproved project WBS
- Liaise with engineering, procurement andconstruction functions, and others as required, to maintainawareness of project activities and their impact on the projectbudget, schedule and cost forecast.
- Support the project workapproval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation andinitial budget set up and approvals
- Monitor cost commitments andexpenditures through all phases of project lifecycle
- Provideinput to project cost performance reports in accordance withproject reporting requirements
- Support the preparation of updatesto project cost forecasts
- Assist in the monitoring and reportingon cost impact of project manpower forecasts
- Assist indevelopment of project change orders / variations in accordancewith engineering and construction change notifications
- Mayfacilitate and communicate cost and schedule impact of changenotifications.
- Monitor overall project cost performance andcontingency drawdown.
- Attend project meetings as required.
- Participate in the project cost close out process.
- Must have at least10 years' experience
- Good computer skills
