Project Description**:


  • Do you have a knack for technology? Are you at your best when working in one of several small agile pod's?
  • We're looking for someone who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technology to:
  • Lead and participate in the design of the UBS Mobile Banking app
  • Guide other engineers and share standards and best practices with them
- collaborate with cross-location pod's to ship new features
- work with external data sources and APIs
- continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- providing tech solutions and ensuring adherence to good software practices by participating in reviews
- partner with UX designers, architects, back end development teams and QA to deliver a high quality

product- create, manage and automate continuous testing of the features you delivered
- lead and be part of a strong technical engineering team (onsite) and contribute to success of Mobile

Responsibilities:
We plan and lead changes in our mobile crew by having chosen an agile working model, with a mindset around timeboxed delivery of solutions, empowerment of interdisciplinary pods and close collaboration throughout
the whole software development process.

We are building software which covers multiple areas of the bank, always focusing on faster time to market by using agile methodologies and putting the client needs first.

It's a very demanding, fast paced and exciting environment, this is the place to be and where we live an innovating working model.


Skills:

Must have
- a graduate degree in IT Software Engineering
- a positive attitude and a great interest in shaping the future of technology in banking

  • 7+ years of native Android (Java/Kotlin) development experience
  • Familiar with design principles
  • Knowledge of Version Control System (Git)
- understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
- experience in test driven development, continuous Integration and Deployment
- a strong software engineer with high dedication of sharing best practice with other, more junior

engineers
- a good technical leader and team player
- a strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues
- analytical skilled person who manages to cope with complex challenges in software engineering

Nice to have

  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  • Version control system;
  • Experience in app development process in an enterprise environment (testing, continuous integration, release process);
  • Mobile app deployment process
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies;
  • Experience in coordinating team members
