Job Description: Technical Director

Our client, a prominent global technology, defense, and engineering company, is actively seeking a Technical Director to join their team. Renowned for applying technology and innovation to address real-world challenges, the company has earned a stellar global reputation for excellence and trust. The role is based in Doha - Qatar.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical leadership and direction to technical managers and architects in a cross discipline project spanning software, server, network, cloud and operational environment
2. Liaising with clients, managers and project stakeholders.
3. Develop plans, schedules and targets with teams
4. Report project progress to steering committee, stakeholders and senior management
5. Monitor development, design and implementation progress, ensuring quality and project performance
6. Inspiring teams to deliver in tight timelines
7. Making reports and conduct effective technical communications & presentations to stakeholders and senior management
8. Identify and mitigate technical risks
9. Work in an office and at project site

Requirements/Skills

• Possess both leadership and technical skills to manage complex IT and OT integration, in an international environment
• At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role and served as technical architect in more than two projects
• Large scale systems integration project experience with more than 3 sub-system teams
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and is able to present well in project steering committee, and good at senior management updates
• Able to use own initiative to move project in a complex environment
• Experience with software deployment, IT, OT, network and cybersecurity system integration project with BCM requirements
• Understand system safety and workplace safety
