About the role
We are currently recruiting for Security Manager for one of the most dynamic and exciting leisure venues in Doha. West Bay beach, under the management of Discover Qatar, comprises 3 absolute beachfront fully licensed venues.

  • Doha Sands, an exclusive and private beach club for in house guests staying at participating West Bay hotels.
  • The Bistro: a fully licensed restaurant, opens from 7am until midnight with a capacity of 200, serving light casual meals and also catering for special events, movie and sports event screenings and private groups.
  • B12 Beach Club, Qatar's largest private beach club featuring the largest inflatable in the country, a range of international food and beverage outlets, general admission and VIP sections, a resident DJ and popular weekend brunches.


As a security manager you will be providing security operational and administrative support by ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, instructions and procedures as per the SOPs.

Delivers confidential operational administrative support to an excellent standard.

Acts as the main point of contact for department's Security operations and support the development, execution, and follow up of departmental operational strategy.


Other key responsibilities are:

Operational:

  • Oversee security operations, by preforming core duties as per operational demand.
  • Manage staff working in WBB through effective leadership in order to deliver a firstclass security operation.
  • Maintain and control procedures and ensure compliance through, briefing, monitoring and debriefing of the staff to ensure that all relevant national and international regulations are met.
  • Reporting any operational and operational administrative issues to Senior or Executive management as necessary through various media means to ensure that we keep our 'finger on the pulse'.
  • Main point of operational contact for all aspects of WBB Security.
  • Responsible for activation of the Security Cascade System in the case of any Emergencies/Disasters.
  • Responsible to coach and assess internal and security contractor's staff members on operational procedures.
  • Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption or threat affecting WBB including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program (such as escorting of emergency vehicles, assisting in providing cordons) in order to ensure smooth delivery of emergency plans.
  • Regular foot/mobile patrols to protect against any security breach, assaults, vandalism, theft, property damage, fire, and other dangers to property.
  • To conduct Drug and alcohol test (if required) and carry out right of search policy as authorized, in order to ensure adherence to QR company policy.
  • Ensuring transfer's security checkpoints and Hold baggage screening process are delivered in compliance with local regulations and SLA is maintained throughout the time.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications:

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum 4 years of jobrelated experience
  • Ability to drive and to attain Qatar driving license
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good working knowledge of general security operations requirements.
  • Understanding operational security requirements.
  • Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Xray screener
  • Database administration experience.
  • Client focused and business aware, with proven interaction to senior management level.
