    Job Responsibilities

    • Protect and ensure thefinancial integrity of the hotel operations in every aspect.
    • Assists in the preparation and updates of AccountingDepartmental Operations Manuals.
    • Ensures that the hotelis adhering to all Company/Hotel Finance Policies and Procedures.
    • Ensures that government-stipulated employee and taxlegislations are strictly followed and implemented.
    • Conducts regular Departmental Communication Meetings.
    • Ensures that an organized, up-to-date filing system is maintainedfor all pertinent financial records.
    • Assists inreviewing all Accounting Department's daily mail,including all incoming and outgoing Accounts Receivablecorrespondences.
    • Assists with the preparation of theannual Finance Business Plan ensuring Divisional Objectives fullyaddress business objectives of the hotel and needs of employees.
    • Assists with the preparation and regular update of theFinance Departmental Budget, in close cooperation with the Directorof Finance ensuring targets are met and costs are effectivelycontrolled.
    • Maximizes employee productivity through theuse of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling tomeet the financial goals of the business as well as theexpectations of the guests.
    • Focuses attention onimproving productivity levels and the need to prudently manageutility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines ensuring optimumdeployment and energy efficiency of all equipment.
    • Ensures new technology and equipment are embraced, improvingproductivity whilst taking work out of the system. Qualificationsand Skills Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Finance,Commerce or Hospitality/Tourism management. CA certification wouldbe an advantage. Minimum 2 years work experience as ChiefAccountant or Senior Accountant in larger operation. Good problemsolving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
